Texas. Everything feels different here. There is a cold front blowing in with the wind, and somehow the shivers feel different. Time moves differently.
I think I've finally come to appreciate this town. It's taken me 18 years living in it and 2 years missing it, but I think I've finally reached the point in my life where home is where the heart is. I like the way the cold wind here is something you toss your hair in. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy New York's cold too. I love the way it bites and I love the sigh after shedding all the coats. But Texas...
You know, this cold front was probably from the same chills I felt a couple of days ago waiting for the M60 on 125th. But, it's different.

Obama-bump
http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/209727/
My boss sent me this today. We, like America, are still basking in the sunlight from Nov. 4. The clip shows Stan's Dad going absolutely crazy, shouting "OBAMA!" and running around until his pants fall down. What's hilarious to me is that I have to hold myself back from acting like that much of an ass.
I, like most Americans, feel this overwhelming hope in my chest. For the first time in my entire life I voted for my President. My President won. Call it silly sentimentalism, or mass-induced-hysteria, but I legitimately feel like shouting "OBAMA" at least twice a day.
I'm excited for the next four years. I'm optimistic. I want to see change.
